of God’s word. He pastored his people with a deep love for each individual and concern for their spiritual health and eternal salvation. His work as a minister in the life of the Presbyterian Church of Australia involved serving at the National Assembly and on the Christian Education and Ministry Development Committees of the Victorian Assembly as well as giving much time to Presbytery as convenor of the Christian Education Committee and as an assessor elder to the Sorrento/Rye Parish. Michael was always diligent in his service to the church. He was a man of prayer who loved the word of God and the rich theological foundations of the Reformation. He was willing to stand for the truth, challenging error graciously and calling the church and individuals to repentance and holy living. His witness as a loving and faithful husband, father and grandfather has left a heritage of blessing in his family and the wider church. We thank God for the life of Michael John Wishart and the contribution he has made to the advancement of God’s kingdom on earth.
